Have you heard amazing and surprising caves in Halong Bay, Vietnam? Most people only know that popular place in Vietnam is Halong bay. Actually, there are very artistic and beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Three of them are great place to be explored.

Who does not know Ha Long Bay? His name is well known to foreign tourists. This Area is located in Quang Ninh province. Limestone Mountains scattered among the crystal clear waters. But did you know Ha Long Bay also has very beautiful and natural caves.

Some of the caves can be explored with ease, because there are paths leading into it. There are three caves that you should visit while you’re on vacation or holiday in Ha Long Bay. The Hang Dau Go, Sung Sot Hang and Hang Trong.

Hang Dau Go Cave

Hang Dau Go is a giant cave in the south of Bai Chay. It is located 187 meters above sea level, so you have to climb 90 stairs to reach the door of the cave. There are three large rooms in the Hang Dau Go.

The first room has a height of 30 meters, with magnificent giant stalagmites and stalactites. To reach the second room, you have to go through the tunnel with a width of 1.4 meters. The second room is a giant cave illuminated by artistic colored lights.

The third room is the reason why the cave is named Hang Dau Go. It said that in the 13th century, this cave is used by Vietnam heroes defend themselves from the Mongol invasions. One of the Hero's names is Tran Hung Dao. The third room in this cave he used as a defense, made bamboo spears, and prepare a strategy to counter the Mongol leader at the time, the Kublai Khan.

Hang Sung Sot Cave

This cave is located on Bo Hon Island, and is the largest cave in Ha Long Bay. Hang Sung Sot is located 25 meters above sea level, so you have to climb the stairs along a few hundred meters to reach the cave. But do not worry, your effort will not be in vain!

Hang Sung Sot has two large rooms. The first room filled with stalagmites and stalactites with various sizes and shapes. Just like Hang Dau Go, the second room was also marked by colored lights that make it more beautiful cave. The difference is Hang Sung Sot has several lakes inside the cave with very clear water!

Hang Trong Cave

The Hang Trong cave is different from the previous two caves. The size of this cave is not too big and no colored lights that adorn the walls. However, you have to go by yourself to this cave to prove it uniqueness.
The wind is coming through the sidelines of the cave. passing the stalactites and stalagmites which scattered in it, making a sound like a drum. Therefore, the cave is also called the drum cave.
