Mauseleum Ho Chi Minh

This place is located at Hung Duong Vuong Road. Here you can see the corpse of Ho Chi Minh. He is the former president of Vietnam and also a hero for Vietnam people. His body is well preserved and kept in coffin made from glass.

Not so far away from this place, you can see a simple house made of wood. Ho Chi Minh lived here during his lifetime. Even when he elected as a president, he chose to stay at this home rather than move to the presidential palace. Today, the former home of Ho Chi Minh's functioned as a museum.

Museum of Ethnography

This museum is located on Van Huyen Street. This place is very good if you want to know about the culture of Vietnam. The Ethnographic museum has a diverse collection of more than 50 tribes living in the country.

Temple of Literature

The temple is located between Nguyen Thai Hoc and Quoc Tu Giam Street. This place is a tourist main destination when visiting Hanoi. I strongly suggest to come in the morning to avoid long lines. This place is open at 08.00 am local time.

The Municipal Water Puppet Theatre

The theatre is located on Hoan Kiem Lake. In this place a kind of shadow play art is exhibited. Interestingly, the show carried on the surface of the water.

Ba Dinh District

Ba Dinh District was called Imperial Palace. Many parts of the buildings have been destroyed during Vietnam War in the past. However, the remnants of the beauty of the pagodas, temples, a large garden as well as many important monuments which is mostly dedicated to the Russian communist leaders Lenin and the father of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh still can be enjoyed here.

Old Quarter

Old quarter is located at North of Hoan Kiem Lake. This place is also called “36 street”. A place like rats way of nearly 100 acres, which was first build at the beginning of the 13th century where there were 36 traders and artists who decided to make this place as a place of business. Each alley is named according to the type of merchandise carried by the 36 person. So, you can find Sugar Street (Hang Duong), Tinsmith Street (Hang Thiec), or Silk Street (Hang Gai). In this place there is also Nha Tho Street, an area that became the modern business center of Hanoi city today.

Municipal Teather

This Teather is located on Trang Tien Street. Formerly this place was known as the French Opera House, where the style of the building is deliberately similar to the Opera Garnier in Paris with pillars ala Greece, but in a smaller scale. Until now a well preserved building is still used for opera performances and other large scale art performances.

Ipa Nima

Ipa nima is located on 59 G Hai Ba Trung. Here you can see many Vietnam fashions which are exotic, unique and have the characteristic of Vietnam. If you are a true fashionista this place will be a great place for you.
